Transformation and Healing Through the Body
Welcome to The Institute of Embodied Psychotherapy.
The Institute was founded in 2016 by Tasha Colbert and Katarina Gadjanski. At the Institute we teach Integrative Embodied Psychotherapy (IEP), a therapeutic framework developed by Katarina and Tasha - who have 40 years of combined therapeutic experience.
We offer guidance and training in becoming an embodied practitioner through connecting to the wisdom of the body and the truth it holds. This therapeutic approach offers profound healing and transformation - both for ourselves and our clients.
Integrative Embodied Psychotherapy approach draws on a wide range of techniques from the practices of body-oriented psychotherapy, dance movement psychotherapy, somatic experiencing, somatic trauma therapy, IFS, neuroscience, transpersonal psychotherapy, creative arts therapies and mindfulness.
We offer one year certificate training in Integrative Embodied Psychotherapy for qualified psychotherapists and counsellors as well as CPD weekend courses. We also offer embodied personal development retreats, workshops and groups.

"Training with The Institute of Embodied Psychotherapy has transformed my therapeutic practice. Katarina and Tasha have supported and guided me to navigate the transition from ‘therapist who uses embodied techniques’ to ‘embodied practitioner’ with sensitivity, curiosity, enthusiasm and rigour.”

“I just wanted to take a moment to say how grateful I am that you have come into my life and acknowledge how much you have both given me. The work I have done with you has truly transformed me. And my body is an essential component of that. I will take forward all this learning into my client work and I believe I have created a better balance between supporting others and being there for myself. I feel the work you are doing and the approach you have created is going to help so many people and I have huge admiration for you both. I'm excited about really immersing myself in the further training and embracing this way of working (and being) more and more. I wouldn't have been able to do this without the guidance of your insight and wisdom to reconnect with my body and hear it's truth. Words feel inadequate. I simply cannot thank you enough.”
